The Cincinnati Bengals wasted little time in upgrading their offensive line.

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers right guard Alex Cappa intends to sign a four-year, $40-million deal with the Bengals, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The club also signed offensive lineman Ted Karras to a three-year, $18-million contract, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Cappa was a durable interior starter on the Buccaneers’ offensive line. He hasn’t missed a single snap over the past two seasons.

Meanwhile, Karras has spent five of his six seasons with the New England Patriots. He brings versatility as he can play at center or guard.

Fresh off their loss in Super Bowl LVI, the Bengals have prioritized protecting franchise quarterback Joe Burrow after he was sacked a league-high 51 times in 2021.
