The Denver Nuggets signed newly acquired guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to a two-year, $30-million extension, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Caldwell-Pope joined the Nuggets earlier this month in a trade that sent guards Monte Morris and Will Barton to the Washington Wizards.

The 29-year-old will finish the final season of a three-year, $39-million deal he signed in 2020 before his extension kicks in for the 2023-24 campaign.

Caldwell-Pope will be playing for his fourth team in his 10th NBA season. For his career, he’s averaged 11.6 points per game on 36% shooting from beyond the arc across 683 contests, including 541 starts.

He figures to fit alongside a healthy Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. as a valuable piece in Denver to complement two-time MVP Nikola Jokic.
