The Philadelphia 76ers and James Harden have agreed on a two-year, $68.6-million deal, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The deal includes a $35.6-million player option in 2023-2024, allowing him to test free agency again next summer, according to Wojnarowski.

The former MVP has veto power on any trade for this upcoming season due to his player option, per ESPN’s Bobby Marks.

Harden declined his $47.4-million player option for the 2022-2023 campaign to help the team acquire veteran forwards, and former Houston Rockets teammates, P.J. Tucker and Danuel House.

The 76ers traded for Harden at last season’s deadline, sending All-Star Ben Simmons to the Brooklyn Nets in return.

Harden averaged 22 points, 10.3 assists, 7.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals over 65 games last campaign. The 32-year-old shot just 41% from the field, including a career-low 33% from deep.
