It appears the Washington Nationals have set their price for trading star outfielder Juan Soto and are sticking to it.

Multiple teams are saying that the Nationals are asking for a combination of four-to-five prospects and major leaguers with limited service time, according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.

With 10 days until the MLB trade deadline, an executive told Rosenthal that the Nationals aren’t negotiating and are moving on from any teams that aren’t willing to meet their demands.

Soto reportedly rejected a 15-year, $440-million extension offer from the Nationals before the All-Star break. The news rocked the baseball world and prompted a number of teams to consider getting in on the sweepstakes.

The New York Yankees and New York Mets have both been connected to the All-Star but have reportedly been unwilling to include their top three prospects in trade packages.

Soto is earning $17.1 million this season. The 23-year-old has two more years of salary arbitration and isn’t scheduled to reach free agency until the conclusion of the 2024 campaign.
