Washington Commanders president Jason Wright wasn’t happy with the questions Scott Abraham of 7News DC asked quarterback Carson Wentz in a recent interview.

Wright criticized Abraham on Friday, calling his interview “pompous” and “unprofessional.”

“Thankfully, Carson demonstrated grace and class in response to this pompous, unprofessional mess,” Wright tweeted. “I recognize you have made a living on childlike provocation, but it needs to be called out. Don’t expect special access, and good luck building rapport with the guys, (Scott Abraham).”

Abraham shared part of his interview with Wentz on Thursday.

“Real talk here, Carson: It’s been well-documented Philly didn’t want you, (and) Indy didn’t want you. Do you think this is your last chance to prove you can be a starting quarterback in the NFL?” Abraham asked.

That specific question didn’t sit well with Wright, who took another shot at Abraham on Twitter in a reply to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio.

Wentz, who joined Washington this offseason, has reportedly dealt with accuracy issues so far at training camp. Commanders head coach Ron Rivera recently said he isn’t “overly concerned” about the passer’s struggles.

Washington is Wentz’s third different team in as many seasons.
