The Dallas Mavericks have finalized a three-year, $33-million contract extension with forward Maxi Kleber, the team announced Thursday.

His new deal is fully guaranteed, adds Charania.

Kleber was set to become an unrestricted free agent next summer, but he’s now under contract through the 2025-26 campaign.

The 30-year-old began his professional career in Germany before joining the Mavs in 2017. He’s averaged 7.1 points and 4.8 boards while shooting 35.9% from deep over 326 appearances for Dallas.

Kleber’s defensive versatility and outside shooting have made him an important part of the club’s rotation over the past five seasons. He’s started 136 regular-season games and 10 playoff contests.

Dallas has strengthened its frontcourt throughout the offseason. The Mavs acquired stretch big man Christian Wood from the Houston Rockets and inked veteran center JaVale McGee to a three-year, $20.1-million contract.
