Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson said Thursday he’s not concerned about the latest reports regarding his relationship with his former team, the Seattle Seahawks.

“I don’t worry about all that stuff,” Wilson said, according to NFL.com’s Kevin Patra. “I know how the whole thing went and how it transpired and just the whole situation. But also, at the same, too, I know that every second I’ve enjoyed in terms of being there and just trying to give it my all every day.”

He added: “Seattle will always mean the world to me, it’ll always forever be home for me, it’ll always be a special place in my heart, obviously. … I’ll forever have love in my heart for Seattle.”

Wilson’s comments come after Brady Henderson of ESPN reported that the signal-caller grew frustrated with the Seahawks’ run-heavy offensive approach and his lack of say in personnel decisions. Wilson was also apparently “livid” at Seattle head coach Pete Carroll for holding back his MVP bid in 2019.

Additionally, Henderson reported that Seattle tried to discuss a Wilson trade with the Cleveland Browns before the 2018 NFL Draft. Wilson confirmed Thursday that the Seahawks tried to trade him in the past.

“Definitely they tried to, a couple of times, tried to see what was out there,” Wilson said, according to ESPN’s Jeff Legwold. “It’s part of the business, being a professional and everything else.”

Seattle dealt Wilson to the Broncos in March in exchange for a package of top draft picks, quarterback Drew Lock, tight end Noah Fant, and defensive lineman Shelby Harris. Seahawks owner Jody Allen previously said Wilson wanted to leave the team.

The nine-time Pro Bowler will make his Denver debut in Seattle against the Seahawks on Monday.

“Hopefully, after 10 years of trying to make a difference there and winning a lot of football games and all of us doing it together, I think that was really special,” Wilson added, per Patra.

The quarterback won one Super Bowl title while passing for 37,059 yards and 292 touchdowns across 158 starts with Seattle from 2012-2021.
