The San Francisco Giants inked infielder Wilmer Flores to a two-year contract extension, reports the New York Post’s Joel Sherman.

The agreement, which is pending a physical, is worth $13 million, reports Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area. It also reportedly includes a mutual option for 2025.

Flores, who’s currently making $3.5 million, joined the Giants in 2020 after six seasons with the New York Mets. He also previously played one campaign for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The veteran has appeared in 132 games in 2022, registering a .235/.319/.414 slash line. He’s tied his career high in home runs with 18 while setting a new personal benchmark with 65 RBIs.

The Giants are well outside the National League playoff picture with a 67-73 record. The club won the NL West in 2021 with 107 victories.
