There are some moments in life, good or bad, that one will never forget. For former WWE star Paige, one of those moments was when photos and videos of her were leaked, without her consent, in 2017. In an appearance on The Sessions with Renee Paquette, Paige took Paquette through the day, and how she found out while in San Antonio, Texas.

“It was just the most awful moment of my life,” Paige said. “The person that I was with at the time showed me a picture on Twitter. And I was just like, ‘Oh my God. Is that real?’ I couldn’t believe it was real at first, because I was 19 [at the time]. I was completely fucking mortified. I ran out of the house, and I just kept running. I remember I was inside a fucking bush, and I’ll always remember this, just sitting in this bush because I was like ‘If people recognize me, they’re going to know.’

“I felt so stupid to have trusted this person at the time. I never done it since, that was a lesson I learned, and I’ll never be caught dead doing anything like that again. But I felt so fucking stupid and I felt so embarrassed, and I was already a cokehead at this time and loved to drink. That really got me to the point where I didn’t want to be alive anymore. It was fing awful. I was just so fucking sad, and I remember being like ‘If my dad is a disappointed with me, I don’t think I could be here anymore. It got to that point.”

It was then that Paige decided to call her father, pro wrestler turned promoter Ricky Knight, who offered his unique support.

“I was just crying my eyes out, and I was like, ‘I’m so sorry,'” Paige said. “My dad was like, ‘What are you sorry for?’ And I was just like, ‘I don’t know. I just don’t want to disappoint you.’ He was like, ‘Are you kidding me? That shit made Kim Kardashian famous.’ He was trying to make a joke. He said, ‘Who cares? You had sex. Everyone’s done it. Unfortunately, you’re just in the public eye, right?’

“He was like, ‘It is what it is. You’ve got to suck it up. It’s going to hurt for a little bit and people are going to make fun of you for forever. But I just want you to know that I’m still proud of you and I’m not disappointed.’ He instantly changed the way I was feeling because I was very down. It was bad. I was ready to fucking end it all. It was just the most morifying experience.”

“I spoke on the phone with Mark Carrano, and I was like, ‘I’m going to lose my job. This is it too,'” Paige said. “But they were like, ‘Listen, it’s not your fault.’ That’s why I will never talk shit about them, at least publicly. They were so supportive and they were like, ‘We’ll get through it. We’ll try to get as much off the internet as possible.'”

These days Paige doesn’t let the incident bother her, save for one thing that involves her family and friends.

“The only thing I don’t like about it and it’s annoying that I’m even going to bring it up, but I hate that they send it to my family all the time to get at them,” Paige said. “That’s what they’ll do at this point. Even to my boyfriend. He’ll get it sent to him because it’s just fans that don’t want to see me or him happy.

“They’ll send it to anyone that’s close to me like, ‘This is your girlfriend. This is your daughter.’ I’m just like, ‘Who cares dude? What, are you a fucking virgin? It happens.’ So yeah. I got bullied relentlessly, it was fuckng awful. The bullying was starting to get me crazy to the point that I was cutting myself. I never thought I’d be a cutter, but I did, and it was fucking awful and I wish I hadn’t done it.”

Vanessa Bryant has filed a lawsuit against the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department claiming deputies shared photographs of the aftermath of the January helicopter crash that killed her husband Kobe, daughter Gianna, and seven others.

“This lawsuit is about accountability and about preventing this disgraceful behavior from happening to other families in the future who have suffered loss,” Bryant’s attorney, Luis Li, said in a statement, according to Stefanie Dazio of The Associated Press.

The suit seeks unspecified damages for negligence, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

“The department formally refused Mrs. Bryant’s requests for information, saying it was ‘unable to assist’ with any inquiry and had no legal obligation to do so. It’s now (time) for a court to tell the department what its obligations are,” Li added.

Sheriff Alex Villanueva previously said eight deputies either took or shared graphic photos of the crash scene. He explained he later ordered the images to be deleted. Villanueva also said the department has a policy against sharing crime scene photos, but the rule doesn’t apply to accident scenes.

Bryant’s lawsuit claims Villanueva’s order to delete the photos constitued a “cover-up” of the department’s misconduct, and that the images could still exist.

Bryant filed a separate lawsuit in February against the company that operated the helicopter involved in the crash. The helicopter went down in heavy fog in western L.A. County on Jan. 26, killing all nine people aboard.

Like many WWE Superstars, Toni Storm fell in love with wrestling as a kid. She was 10 years old when she got the wrestling bug and has been hooked ever since.

She discussed being a fan while growing up when Storm joined Lilian Garcia’s podcast, Chasing Glory.

“It was around the time with Mickie James, Trish Stratusand Lita. I just fell heavily in love with it; I’ll never forget the moment. My mom was disgusted with the idea of wrestling. She was like are you going to be like one of those wrestlers? I was like, actually yes, I am going to do this. I was John Cena, Jeff Hardy and Shawn Michaels  obsessed. The first show I went to was in 2007 for a Monday Night Raw in Brisbane, Australia,” recalled Storm.

Just a few years later Storm made her pro wrestling debut at just 13 years old. She started out in her native Australia and talked about the sacrifice her mom made to help her live out her dream.

“I started in a really small company. It was usually shows that were in front of moms and dads. We struggled to pay for training fees. My mom would be at every show, every weekend just selling hot dogs to help out the company so that she could trade paying me for her working so I am forever grateful for that because she never had to do any of that. She gave up every single weekend just so that she could see me happy because it was the only thing that made me happy,” stated Storm. I didn’t have a good time at school whatsoever. School was a nightmare so the only thing that lighted me up was wrestling so she made sure that I got that.”

About one year ago leaked photos of Storm made their way online and the fallout of that caused Storm to delete all of her social media accounts. But the emotional toll it took on her was just as damaging as the leaked photos themselves as she explained.

“I just shut down because I noticed stuff that had leaked because I was already kind of in a bad place mentally. I always really struggled with depression and anxiety. I’ve never really spoken out about it; I don’t know why. There’s not really any reason for it. I’m not sure why I suffer from it, but a lot happened growing up where I lost my grandfather and there was a lot of drama with my family,” said Storm.

“At 16, I was diagnosed with anxiety. When all that came about, I was already struggling. I was like, I don’t want to know about any of this. I didn’t want to face it, so I just one day I was like the hell with this. I didn’t want to be seen, I really didn’t because I was completely humiliated and ashamed. It was awful and I didn’t even know who to turn to.”

Storm said she felt isolated at the time and didn’t want to talk to her family about it because it was just so humiliating. She is thankful of her friends for supporting her even from afar as they were in Australia and she was in the US.

“I had good friends and they know who they are. I have really good friends and if they weren’t around God knows what would have happened,” stated Storm. “I live far away from a lot of friends. I was so alone; I was completely by myself and I had to deal with all of that. I was a mess. I was a complete mess and I wanted to shut off but it obviously kept happening and more and more stuff kept being said. A lot of people calling me weak, but I was like, I am already dealing with my own head and my own thoughts. It was one of the worst things that I could have gone through.

“Now, I’m at a place where I can laugh with friends about it but it was awful during that time. People try to humiliate me with it and make horrible comments. They will give me hell. I turned my comments off of Instagram. I obviously love the support from fans that I appreciate it so much, but with that, I get a lot of abuse and that stuff started happening. I was getting a lot of disgusting comments. I don’t want my sister going on there and seeing all of those horrible things. People get mad at that so I’m like just send me a message then.”

After a wave of emotional support, both online and in person, Storm has since returned to social media and she’s very appreciative of all of her fans.

“I love all of my fans and love the support that I get. It means more than they realize. I may not always get the chance to respond, but it means a lot to me,” said Storm. “I don’t know how I came out of that, to be honest. I suffered greatly from depression. I have been a very self-destructive person for a lot of years. I have been really awful to myself. Nothing to do with the leaks or anything, but it’s been terrible and I was wondering how I can deal with that.”

NXT UK Women’s Champion Toni Storm shared a photo on Twitter that showed herself sporting some spiky sunglasses, featuring the caption: “Got these so I could keep a.. sharp eye on everything.”

One Twitter user started harassing Storm by bringing up the nude photos of her that were leaked on the internet. The user replied to her photo with: “Apparently not sharp enough to catch the leaks and stop them from happening.”

The user’s account has since been suspended, and their tweet to Storm has been removed. Storm did reply to the crude comment. She mentioned that during the time of her personal photos leaking, she considered taking own life.

Her full response was: “Glad you’re having a good laugh over something that made me want to take my own life.”

She also retweeted the tweet to her followers and captioned it: “He’s right. Anyone else want to continue humiliating, bullying and shaming me? Apparently, I’ve not gone through enough. Go on then!” The leaked photos were released back in January and Storm is still dealing with internet trolls over it.

Wrestling legend Sid Eudy (aka Psycho Sid and Sid Vicious) came up through the ranks in the 1980s and he has some thoughts on today’s Superstars. In a recent interview with Hannibal TV, Sid voiced his opinion on Paige being made SmackDown GM after the embarrassment of various sex tapes and photos of her were leaked online.

“I think it’s the stupidest thing, but again, it goes to how the business is,” Sid said on Hannibal TV. “When the business is down like it is, they’ll OK things like that when this is the time you don’t OK something like that.”

“Usually it says to me that [WWE is] having a hard time business-wise. After that, I wouldn’t have her on my show. I would’ve fired her immediately… I don’t have nothing against her. I don’t have anything against any man or woman wanting to do things, but don’t do it in public like that.”

Sid then wonders if Paige has “something on someone” in WWE that enabled her to keep her job.

“If Charlie Rose gets fired [from PBS] from hanging around in his underwear, I mean we know things have been worse than that in the wrestling business,” said Sid.

When the interviewer then tells Sid that the photos of Paige, Charlotte Flair and others were hacked from their phones, Sid argues against that.

“They’re putting them out there… I don’t know. Just don’t take a picture like that… Let them do dark matches or something, but don’t make them the GM of your show.”

Melina Perez was victimized last year when explicit photos of the former WWE Superstar were released without her consent. She recently opened up about the horrific events and how she learned to endure it.

The former WWE Divas Champion recently took part in a Periscope session where she expanded on what she went though when nude photos of her were leaked online. She expressed a desire to make sure it didn’t happen to anyone else and expanded on how she felt violated while left to cope with the situation.

“That was kind of a horrific experience in my life,” Melina said. “Because that was something very intimate that I was sharing with the love of my life. For somebody to steal that kind of stuff and put it out there. That was really horrible. That’s kind of the way it was comparable to my rape in a sense because it was violating.

“So the person who stole those pictures that I sent to someone I cared about and love, it was an intimate thing between two people who love each other. It was a horrible thing for someone to do. It was something that I needed to learn like I had to cope with, I just don’t want it to happen to anybody else. I’m thankful that I was able to overcome that like my mind was able to process that to be able to be okay with it. That’s a horrible thing too especially as a woman.

“When you get taught that your body and you as a sexual being needs to be clean and untainted. People always want women to be a virgin like untouched like they’ve never slept with anybody but the fact is that we are human. I wish I could only be with one person but then you break up, or they leave you, or life happens and you go separate ways. Women are humans, so when it comes to pictures like that, we’re seen as things and they took it and just threw it all over the place and it’s a horrific thing to do that to a human being like me who was brought up being taught with what I grew up with. Your body shouldn’t be looked at by anybody but your love.”

Melina’s privacy wasn’t the only thing affected, but her values felt at risk as well. She was raised to only allow her partner to see her like that, and now those images are availble to anyone with an internet connection. The former member of MNM revealed that she turned down an offer from Playboy because she didn’t want to violate her morals which were targeted when her personal photos were released online.

“My mind couldn’t process that and it took a long time for me to understand that, ‘it’s something that happened, it has nothing to do with me, I didn’t do anything wrong, this person did something wrong by violating me and going through my stuff and stealing my personal pictures.’ I had to cope with other people seeing my naked body.

“I refused Playboy because I wanted to keep from being seen and to only be there for the person that I love. It was a huge hurtful experience. So thank you for feeling sorry that those things happened to me, thank you for that. But it is what it is, sadly. It’s wrong. People should never do that and because I’ve been able to accept that as something that happened.

“I would like to see that happen to the person who posted all those things and did all that stuff. I mean they wouldn’t like it. Thank goodness I looked good. But at the same time, it is hurtful, it is horrible.”

Melina didn’t give up after failing to make the final cut before entering the house in the third season of Tough Enough. She was with WWE from 2004 to 2011 becoming a three-time WWE Women’s Champion and two-time Divas Champion in the process. As Melina looks back at her career, she is not only surprised WWE hired the shy 24-year-old who couldn’t make it onto their reality television competition, but she is also grateful at the opportunities WWE presented her.

Although Melina wishes more chances were open during her time with WWE, she realizes how she lived a dream few get to experience.

“I wish I got to experience wrestling at a time when I could have done more,” Melina said. “But since everything happens for a reason, I did my part. I put my part out there and that’s great and I’m thankful for that. Of course, as a wrestler, we want to do all the things we dreamed of and to not be able to do that it’s kind of like, it hurt. But at the same time, it is what it is.

“As wrestlers, the fact that we even get into that ring, that’s the most incredible thing ever. You need to take pride in that, I’m grateful for the experience, for even being a part of the WWE. It was a thing that I didn’t think I would ever be able to do so I’m blessed to have gotten that opportunity especially before that time I was so shy.

“I wouldn’t have hired me. Like, I’m being real. I would not have hired me because I was very quiet. I was very shy and very timid. But because they gave me an opportunity, working there, it opened me up. It took a quiet, shy person and taught her how to be vocal and larger than life. To be everything, it taught me so many lessons, it was a great thing.”

Last year, Maria Kanellis was one of several female wrestling figures who became a victim of nude photo leaks. The absent WWE star and one-time Playboy cover girl is now speaking out on the situation.

Kanellis posted a blog on Facebook on Tuesday in which sheaddresses her photo leak:

What will you tell your child about being in Playboy?”Playboy, Leaked Photos, and Being Sexy”

I have never thought about not being me. I have never been afraid to show off my body. I have never been scared of being sexy. And I don’t want my son or daughter to be afraid of their body. I want my children to be confident. In a world so full of hate and unknown, Mike and I do not want our children to feel like love is a foreign concept. I have been asked on numerous occasions about Playboy, my leaked photos, and about being sexy. My answers may surprise you and hopefully give you some insight into what it means to me to be able to be sexy and still be a great mother.

What will you tell your child about being in Playboy? I will tell them that mommy bought a house by capitalizing on a huge opportunity. I will tell them that mommy believes that the human body should be celebrated not shammed. I will tell them that Playboy is an iconic magazine and the decision to pose was something I discussed with my family and friends before making a well informed choice. I don’t believe sex is the enemy I think ignorance is. If my children, are well informed about the meaning and value of a person’s virtue, I think that is the best a parent can do.

Leaked Photos…. So, I guess I probably should make a statement about this at some point. Haha… I guess first you should know, every photo that I have seen leaked was something for my husband of over three years, who I have been with for 6 and a half. They were sent to or taken by Mike. So, you aren’t seeing anything salacious or forbidden. You are seeing our personal photos. It doesn’t bother me that I’m naked. I have been naked. Boobs, butt, etc… everyone has them. If my children asks about those photos, I will say mommy and daddy have a healthy relationship. We love each other. Daddy thinks Mommy is sexy. AND, there is nothing wrong with that. The problem is the intrusion of privacy. The sad, sad humans that can not make a happy, healthy life of their own. I would tell my child to feel sorry for the people that do not have enough love of their own and have to steal it from others. Mommy and daddy, pity the people that have enough time on their hands to fish through our photos but no time to make a life of their own. To those people, I say get some help, try online dating, and stop breaking the law.

I’m too sexy for small mindedness. Sex. Woah. How could you? NO, I can and I will never be afraid of it. Being sexy doesn’t end for pregnant people, married people, curvy people, skinny people, any people… Sex is beautiful. It creates life and draws humans together. War, is ever present on TV, in movies, and on video games and no one blinks an eye but you see a little boob and OMG!! Mark 10:6-9 “But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.” One flesh sounds fun. If God wanted me to wear clothes, I would have been born with them. I wasn’t, so I’ll continue being sexy and enjoying my body. The body that was created by this universe.

Let’s talk about the things I am afraid of talking about with my child, war, sexual harassment, economic inequality, sexism, racism, homophobia, genocide, and the current political climate. There are much bigger problems in this world then, my sexuality. I have built my life around being a good person and being a good role model for my little sister when she was still little and now my nieces and nephew and soon for my child. In this country, we should focus less on the way people love and more on the way people hate. That is what I will teach my child. Hold hands not hate. Be the change you want to see in this world. Love Yourself. #PowerofLove

The Crazy Pregnant Lady

Maria Kanellis

Kanellis is currently on a leave of absence from WWE after announcing her pregnancy in September with husband and WWE star Mike Kanellis.

WWE star Paige has become the latest victim of hackers invading her privacy when explicit content of her, including multiple pictures and videos, was posted to the internet without her consent. The material began to leak Friday and was passed around various forums, where thankfully most site moderators acted quickly to remove them as soon they were posted.

It’s important to note that Paige, along with former WWE talent Brad Maddox and another man that is speculated to be Xavier Woods are victims here who should be treated with respect while dealing with this unfortunate situation.

The former WWE women’s champion tweeted the following statement addressing the incident:

The past eight months have been challenging for the popular young star – absent from WWE television since late July of 2016 when she was hit with consecutive wellness policy violations shortly before undergoing successful neck surgery. The injury has kept her on the shelf and there’s been no word on when she would be returning to active duty.

As of now, WWE has yet to address the matter but we will keep you updated if any news breaks on that front.
